Are you financing your new home in Apopka?
For a lot of people, applying for mortgage financing can be one of the most demanding elements of buying a house. But it doesn't have to be.
Being close to some lenders in Apopka has helped me recognize some things that will make the process of applying for a loan uncomplicated.
1 – Put together a list of questions regarding your loan program
Make sure you have a list of questions if you do not completely grasp the advantages and disadvantages of the various programs.
It is a challenge to know the differences between fixed and adjustable rate mortgages. I or one of my lender contacts will be able to help you understand the advantages and disadvantages of each.
2 – Determine when you want to lock
Locking in the rate signifies that the lender commits to the mortgage interest rates for the loan – generally at the time the loan application is received.
By floating the rate, you can lock the rate anytime between the loan application day and closing. Those who choose to float believe interest rates will dip in the near future. Click here to see the outlook for the next 90 days of interest rates.
3 – Determine if you want to pay additional points to decrease your interest rate
If you elect to pay additional points to lower the rate of your loan, you will do so by paying for them in cash at closing. Each point is 1 percent of the mortgage loan.

4 – Gather your paperwork
Getting a mortgage loan requires lots of paperwork, so you should spend some time getting your documents together. Click here to see normal questions you'll have to answer on a loan app.
